South Asia's largest hotel exhibition, Hotel Asia is scheduled to be held in October.
The announcement was made at a press conference held by organizers of the exhibition in the country; Maldives Exhibition Conference (MECS) and the partners involved in the exhibition. The exhibition is being held this year after a two year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
MECS Director Asim Mukhtar said the exhibition will be attended by many companies from different countries in the South Asian region. This year's exhibition will also celebrate 50 years of tourism in the Maldives.
This year marks Hotel Asia's 16th exhibition and will bring together many people in the tourism and hospitality sector in Maldives and abroad. The exhibition will also feature a four day international culinary challenge. Asim said chefs from many resorts in Maldives will participate in the challenge.
This year's Hotel Asia Exhibition is also being held in collaboration with MECS, Lanka Exhibition and Conference Service (LECS) and Best Buy Maldives.
Among this year’s partners, TTS Maldives is the logistics partner while Dhiraagu is the digital partner. At the press conference, a partnership was also signed with the Chefs Guilds of Maldives.
The exhibition is endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism and the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka.
Hotel Asia 2022 will be held from October 10 to 12 with more than 175 stalls.
