SIMDI has planted 100 new trees in two beaches in Phase 2, in order to demonstrate support for the government's 5 Million Tree Plantation Program while encouraging the public to protect the environment.
SIMDI group has planted hundred new trees in two beaches of Hulhumale', Phase 2.
In addition to employees of the company, this activity held last Wednesday on occasion of International Environment Day was participated by students, parents, independent organizations and residents of Hulhumale' as well.
SIMDI said that the tree plantation activity saw participation of over a thousand individuals, including senior representatives of SIMDI group and 100 employees of multiple ranks. They added that the activity was launched to encourage people to protect the environment and also demonstrate support and aid the government in their 5 million tree plantation program.
This activity was held in partnership with Hulhumale' Community Alliance.
