With delays in harbour construction, Kurin'bi residents find temporary solution

Facing long delays in the construction of the new harbour at Haa Dhaalu atoll Kurin'bi, residents have come out and dug up the adjoining T-jetty area.

A resident from the island told Mihaaru News that the area had been dug when harbour construction was first contracted to MTCC in 2022. However, the work remained halted, so some residents had taken it upon themselves to dig up the T-jetty area, effectively connecting the old harbour to the one in progress.
