22 spas and salons inspected, 7 expatriates detained

Maldives Immigration has conducted inspections of 22 locations in Male' area, and taken seven expatriates into detention.

These inspections were done under a special operation targeting salons and spas. In a post on social media platform X, Immigration said that the operation focuses on checking if the people working at the spas and salons are in the country legally. Police Intelligence also worked with Immigration in this operation.
