One of the suspects arrested in relation to the kidnapping of a Nepalese man and holding him hostage in a guesthouse has been remanded in custody for 10 days.
The Anti Human Trafficking Department of the Police had rescued the man last night after receiving a report of the kidnapping on Friday, seven days after the victim was taken hostage and held in the guest house, 'Sky Land' on the road adjacent to the grocery store, VB Mart.
Two Bangladeshi men were arrested in relation to the case. However, one of the suspects was released last night.
The Criminal Court issued an order remanding the other arrestee in custody for 10 days.
Police had previously stated that the kidnapping was incited by monetary disputes.
Although the victim was held hostage for a week in the guesthouse, he remains in good health.
