An employee of Fenaka Corporation has been dismissed from their position for allegedly leaking documents related to the company's debts.

Yoosuf Rameez, a senior officer in the logistics department of Fenaka Corporation's head office, was terminated from his position on Wednesday. The dismissal notice stated that he was involved in the disclosure of confidential company information.

Rameez, who joined Fenaka on June 1, 2016, informed Mihaaru News that the company accused him of publicly releasing documents related to the company's debt, which are currently circulating on social media.

He was brought before the disciplinary committee last week, where he stated that he answered all the questions raised to him. However, he claimed that he was dismissed without any evidence supporting the allegations.

"I was summoned to the committee where I answered all the questions. When I was asked to sign the statement, I refused because it is not something I have done," Rameez said.

Rameez has decided to appeal his dismissal to the Employment Tribunal.

The company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Abdullah Waheed, was also dismissed on September 26 after being sidelined from his duties for an extended period of time.

Waheed told Mihaaru News that although the exact reason for his suspension has not yet been revealed, the most likely reason is his expression of concerns regarding the company's debt. He said that the cases were taken to the company's board as it was a necessary task.
