Maziya has been the only club to adhere to the Sports Commissioners Office's request to send details regarding the funds received in the past four years within the specified duration.

In a letter sent to all clubs on Wednesday, the Sports Commissioner's Office requested details on how funds from FIFA or AFC were utilized during the previous four years, with a deadline set for yesterday at 14:00 hrs.

According to Mihaaru News, Maziya was the only club that submitted the required details during this period.

In a letter sent to each club separately, the Sports Commissioner's Office said it had received information that the clubs were receiving financial assistance from FIFA or the AFC through the FAM.The letter highlighted that the commission was aware that clubs had uploaded expenditure details on the FIFA or AFC portal, which were also shared with FAM.

Upon the Sports Commissioner's request for financial details, four clubs; Club Eagles, United Victory, Green Streets, and Buru Sports held a press conference to voice their concerns.

At the press conference held at Manhattan Hotel on Wednesday, Eagles Club General Secretary Saeed Ali expressed dissatisfaction with the directive from Sports Commissioner Mohamed Tholal. He said that while the clubs were prepared to submit their annual reports by March 31, the Sports Commissioner's decision to specifically request the financial details by Sunday appeared ill-intended.

"We believe that this letter has been sent by the Sports Commissioner in order to influence ongoing FAM elections," Saeed said.

The four clubs were among those who supported Mufawiz Hashim, who contested the FAM election previously scheduled to be held on Thursday.
