Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (MNPHI) has announced that the application window for Male' locals to apply for social housing plots will be publicly opened on June 2022.
The first time an official statement regarding housing issues faced by Male' locals was addressed by the Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during his presidential address at the 2022 parliamentary opening session.
The president had pledged social housing of 1,000 plots from Hulhumale', 2,000 plots from Gulhifalhu and another 2,000 plots from Giraavaru will be exclusively awarded to Male' locals.
