Local telecom firm Dhiraagu has introduced and opened pre-orders for the launching of Samsung’s latest smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7.
Samsung’s newest volley was introduced in a colourful ceremony at Dhiraagu’s head office late Thursday by its CEO Ismail Rasheed and the managing director of Samsung’s branches in the Maldives and Sri Lanka, Youngmin Shin.
The smartphone was first unveiled in the United States last Tuesday. The Maldives is the second country to showcase it.
The price for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is MVR 12,999. Dhiraagu is offering an installment payment scheme for pre-orders by its postpaid and prepaid customers.
Dhiraagu stated that only postpaid customers may purchase the Galaxy Note 7 in installments. The scheme specifies an advance of MVR 2000 and monthly installments of MVR 849 over 12 months.
The company had picked two lucky draw winners who were presented with free Galaxy Note 7 smartphones during the unveiling ceremony.
The most notable feature of Galaxy Note 7 is its iris scanner, a new security feature akin to a fingerprint scanner.
