Alifushi has a total of 6 points through winning the first two matches of Group D. Naifaru has 3 points from two matches, while Maafushi and Kendhoo in the same group lost the first match.
The three teams with the highest points in each group will make it to the second round of Group stage.
With two minutes left till halftime, young forward Ahmed Husam (Husanko) of Alifushi team shot a goal, leading the crowd of supporters to go into a frenzy of joy.
The second goal was scored at the 82nd minute by Adam Imran (Inna) with a head shot to a ball sent by Captain Mohamed Rasheed (Hokey).
Imran, who earlier played for Club Eagles and Club Green Streets, is now the Alifushi Council President. he scored two goals against Kendhoo in the first match of the team in this tournament.
The next match in the tournament will be on Saturday, with Kendhoo and Maafushi facing against each other in the afternoon, and Group A's Fuvahmulah City and Meedhoo playing in the evening.
