Ooredoo launches anniversary campaign with new services

Ooredoo has launched its "Live Unlimited" campaign to mark its 20th anniversary.

The campaign was launched at a special press conference held at Ooredoo's head office. During the meeting, several activities and offers planned for Ooredoo's 20th anniversary in August were announced. These include introducing e-SIM service for Apple Smart Watch and a Smart Home Security bundle in partnership with Super Net.

Ooredoo's anniversary falls on August 1st.

At the meeting, Ooredoo's CEO Khalid Al Hamadi stated that Ooredoo is a "pace maker," bringing revolutionary changes to telecommunication services in Maldives and paving new paths in the industry. He described the introduction of e-SIM service for Apple Smart Watch as another step toward enhancing customers' digital experiences.

The e-SIM service for Apple Watch will be free for the first six months. After that, the service will cost MVR 199 per month. The smart home security system introduced by Ooredoo is a bundle that includes video monitoring systems installed in homes. The system allows users to view live footage of their homes from anywhere. Ooredoo will also provide installation services for this system.

In addition to these two new services, various activities connected to the anniversary were also announced.

Ooredoo's Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz said that this year's biggest event will be the "Mas Race" (fishing competition). He added that this year's Mas Race will be held as a grand celebration in collaboration with councils, and councils from islands wishing to participate will have the opportunity to submit proposals.

During the press conference, Niyaz said that in addition to the Mas Race, this year's "Fun Run" will be held in Addu City. He also added that there will be special underwater activities and many other events that customers will enjoy. He announced that Adam Rashid, known as "Life of a Fisherman" on social media, has been appointed as Ooredoo's ambassador, and many activities are planned with him.

Additionally, a promotion offering an Umrah trip every 20 days has been planned in connection with this year's anniversary. Niyaz said the launch date of this promotion, which features a Hajj trip as the grand prize, will be announced later.
