Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed has said that the government will always welcome innovation and prioritize new business activities.
Speaking at the 'Invest Forum' that began in Fujian, China today, Minister Saeed said that the new government organizes such forums to provide opportunities for private businesses. He stated that the results of the forum will be visible once businesses are established and become operational.
"Maldives has always had close political and commercial ties with China. The cooperation between our two countries can achieve new economic heights," he said.
Over 300 businesses are participating in the Invest Forum organized by the Maldives in China today. These businesses represent various sectors, including aviation, travel, tourism, real estate, engineering, cargo and logistics, banking and finance, and fisheries and agriculture.
Some of Maldives' most prominent entrepreneurs had also arrived in China for the one-day forum.
