State Electric Company (STELCO) has sponsored the "Save a Diabetic Child" project.
Under STELCO's CSR initiatives, the utility provider entered into a sponsoring agreement with Diabetes Society of Maldives.
As the primary sponsor of the project, STELCO will render assistance towards execution of project's prospective activities planned out for the rest of 2022.
The agreement was signed between STELCO's Managing Director Ahmed Shareef and Chairperson of Diabetes Society of Maldives Aminath Shiruhaana.
Speaking at Monday's signing ceremony, Shiruhaana expressed her delight for STELCO's involvement in the project.
Since 2000, the society had run various "Save a Diabetic Child" programs; with a span of 22 years of contribution towards helping diabetic patients in terms of facilitating them with insulin pens, free clinic triages, and supplying with test kits.
"We have been consistently requesting all capable parties to extend assistance in our commitment to ensure a better life for diabetic patients, I am deeply moved that STELCO has decided to commit to our cause alongside us," Shiruhaana said.
STELCO's front man had assured continued support and assistance by the utility provider towards the society's ongoing efforts to provide better lifestyles for diabetic patients.
