The authorities have begun searching for a local man who went missing from Malé City. The man has been missing for four days now.
According to the police, the missing man is Moosa Anees, 32, from Laamu atoll, Maavah. He was reported missing on Tuesday.
Muharrim Aboobakur, his older brother, told Mihaaru that Anees had last spoken to his family on Saturday. Since then, he has not returned any of his calls and has not been reachable.
“He lives on the streets. We haven't heard from at all, his phone is also switched off" Muharrim said.
He said that Anees was supposed to start a rehabilitation program on Wednesday.
“When we showed his picture to some of the people near the local fish market, they said they saw him having breakfast at nearby café, but we still don't know where he is,” Muharrim said.
