Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure (MNPI) on Tuesday, awarded the harbour development project of Meedhoo, Dhaalu Atoll, to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for MVR 36.8 million.
During the project awarding ceremony held at the Ministry, the agreement was signed by Fathimath Shana Farooq, the Director General of planning ministry, while Shahid Hussain Moosa, the Chief Executive Officer, signed on behalf of MTCC.
The project involves 15,578 cubic metres of dredging, a 373-metre breakwater, 35-metre revetment, and a 294-metre quay wall. A ramp, interlocking pavements, ten mooring blocks, navigational masts and harbour lights.
As per the agreement, MTCC is scheduled to complete the project within 408 days.
