Information shared on the President’s Office website details that the decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held yesterday, and that the highly technical fields which half of the student loans would be dedicated to including fields such as engineering, super specialization, and coding.
Previously there were no such quotas dedicated to specific areas of study. However the loan funding, which is offered to candidates interested in diploma, bachelor’s, master’s and even PhD covered all fields including those which fall within the technical areas.
There currently is an opening by the Ministry of Higher Education to apply for 500 student loan opportunities. The deadline for application is this coming Thursday.
