The island of Raiymandhoo, located in the Meemu Atoll, is well-known throughout the country as a hub for traditional medicine. The isle has become a pioneer in the sector owing to years of restorative medical medicines concocted on the island. The 'Baseeru Ziyaaraiy' is a well-known historical monument on the island that gives tribute to earlier settlements. Raiymandhoo and the next-door resort island in the island's inner circle are two islands in Meemu Atoll that are a little off the less-travelled route.

The Mulaku Kandu, or the atoll’s channel, is located in the north-eastern part of the atoll and is home to submerged pinnacles where a wide variety of corals cohabit. Beginner and intermediate divers or snorkellers who want to sketch in their stay with the ocean's never-ending colours can appreciate the vibrancy. If a visitor wants to see a bit of the 99 per cent of the island nation from any vantage point, they can dive on the reef that surrounds the island.

The island is new to the guesthouse culture, therefore a visitor might not be accustomed to the level of servitude prompted from such establishments. The community, on the other hand, will not make any visitor feel unwelcome. Intersecting with the islanders' daily lives, meeting them halfway, provides an insight into the trip's experience that is grounding. Fishermen might organize fishing trips in traditional boats, farmers can include or show visitors their daily work-life routines, and a home cook can treat visitors to delectable local cuisine. It is up to the tourist to become as immersed as possible in the local way of life in order to fully appreciate a culture that is proud of its heritage.

Raiymandhoo's appealing tropical environment and the small population of fewer than 200 people provide for a scenic rural experience. A hundred or more islanders look after one another in their traditions and subsistence behaviours within this tranquil setting. Although the real origins of Ruhgalu Beys or traditional medicine are unknown, it is thought that travellers/traders passing through influenced and islander’s adapted to it. The natural, available resources were used, and Hakeems, or healers, used these compounds to treat various types of sickness. Locals still believe in the therapeutic powers of these therapies and seek them out at all costs, even if it means making long journeys to and from. Natives hope that this practice survives the test of time since it emphasizes a healthy lifestyle that can help people live longer.

The allure of an island nation that has enchanted millions of people throughout the world isn't restricted to the ultra-luxurious one-resort, one-island notion. It includes the lovely culture of the islanders, which a visitor can immerse in if they visit an island community. The 'Kingdom of Islands,' which has been continuously inhabited for millennia, is rich in mythology and traditions, some of which may be found in current history. When the history of a location is intertwined with the way of life of the locals, it creates a humbling experience to remember. To learn, grasp, and revel in indigenous ways of life that have been passed down from the earliest settlements.

The tranquil pace of island life will nourish the spirit in unimaginable ways. An island's never-ending yet timeless cycle can appear surreal. But it is the arcadian rhythm that sets this remote area of the globe distinct from the crushing concept of cityscapes that makes crossing seas worthwhile.
