Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has commenced in-house trainings for staff of their Fuel Services Department.
These programmes will provide technical knowledge and skills required for the operational team. The first sessions of this programme will cover quality control and into-plane operations.
MACL said that depot operations and maintenance will also be covered in future sessions.
MACL said that these trainings had earlier been conducted with help from foreign consultants. However, the current programme is conducted in-house, at the level of international trainings, by senior officials working in Fuel Services.
MACL's Learning and Development Department had approved these programmes after ensuring the training manuals and trainers meet quality standards. The trainings are designed to cover skills required for Velana International Airport (VIA)'s fuel services.
MACL CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Lamaan and Deputy Managing Director Mujuthaba Latheef visited the fuel farm at VIA and observed the trainings in progress.
