IT issues around the world has interrupted services at airlines, airports, banks, and major supermarkets.
"There is an ongoing worldwide airline IT system disruption. Passengers may experience delays during check-ins," MACL stated in a post on social media, apologizing for any inconveniences that the delays may cause.

The outage has been reported from many countries including Australia, Singapore, America, India and Spain.
Indigo Airlines, which operates flights to Maldives as well, have also declared they are facing issues.
National Cyber Security Coordinator of Australia, where the issue was first observed, said that this is an issue with a third party software platform. They said that so far it hasn't been flagged as a cyber security threat.
Croudstrike said that the issue is within a content update of Windows host.
Mac and Linux hosts are not facing any issues, they said, adding that this is not a security issue or a cyber attack.
They said the issue has not been identified, with the solution also determined, guiding customers to visit the support portal for the latest updates.
