Foreign Missions have decided to launch special efforts to facilitate investment opportunities in the Maldives.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer made the announcement at the Maldives Invest Forum held in China on Tuesday, January 9.
The minister told Mihaaru News that special officials from the 19 Missions will work to introduce various businesses to the Maldives in the future.
"We will appoint special employees for that. Their job will be to provide business opportunities and guide foreign businesses," Minister Zameer said.
They will work to promote tourism in the Maldives and create more tourism opportunities in the country, he said. The missions will explore opportunities for other businesses besides tourism, he said.
“This is a new endeavor,” Minister Zameer said.
