Dr. Shah Abdulla Mahir has been appointed as the Deputy CEO of Dharumavantha Hospital.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Dr. Shah Mahir to the post yesterday.
Dr. Shah, who was Minister of State for Health during the previous government, resigned from the post and later joined the opposition party The Democrats.
Dr. Shah earned his MBBS in 2002 and MSc in Surgical Sciences with Orthopaedics in 2006 from the Imperial College of Science, Technology, and Medicine in London.
Dr. Shah holds a license from the General Medical Council of England. He is also registered with the Maldives Medical and Dental Council. Additionally, he is a member of the British Medical Association and the Medical Defense Union.
Some of Dr. Shah's works have also been published in medical journals.
Dr. Shah has also worked in various hospitals in London.
