Police have stated that a number of arrests have been made in relation to the theft of a car belonging to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), the company which operates Velana International Airport.

Police maintains that, at present, they are unable to provide any further information regarding the case, including the number of arrests.
Police are continuing investigations into this case.
Mihaaru reports that the car that was stolen is used for general purposes by MACL, and is also used by the company's Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed for official trips.
