A car and motorcycle crashed on the corner of Boduthakurufaanu Magu and Koimalaa Hin'gun, reports of which accident Police received at 00:53 hrs on Thursday. The victim, 21 year old Mohamed Leevan Abdul Latheef, passed away last night while receiving treatment for his injuries at IGMH.
He had been placed on ventilator support at the Intensive Care Unit for the past three days.
Photos on the night of the accident showed that after crashing into the taxi, Leevan's motorcycle also sustained extensive damage.
Late on Thursday night, a sports car and a motorcycle collided in Hulhumale' near Central Park, with a 23 year old losing his life in the accident. Yesterday, another accident occurred in Hulhumale' with one undergoing treatment at present.
