Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has signed an agreement to plant 1,000 trees in the picnic island of Kudagiri situated in Kaafu Atoll Gulhifalhu.
Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has signed an agreement to plant 1,000 trees in the picnic island of Kudagiri situated in Kaafu Atoll Gulhifalhu.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Managing Director and CEO of MIB, Mufaddal Idris Khumri and Hafsath Aleem, President and Founder of Clean Maldives, a local NGO working to enforce positive environmental and societal changes.
MIB said that the bank is also set to proceed awareness initiatives under the MoU besides planting 1,000 trees in the picnic island.
Tree plantation programs will also be organized in islands alongside educating residents on greening and planting trees, assured the bank.
MIB has persevered in their resolve to sustainably contribute to the environment, proceeding several such activities under the initiative.
