Telecommunications giant Ooredoo Maldives on Monday, unveiled it's 'Cyber Safety Campaign 2020' in partnership with Maldives Police Service and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.
Ooredoo announced the campaign at the 'Maruhaba 2020' event held on Monday night to kickstart the company's 15th anniversary celebrations.
According to the company, its programme to tackle cybercrime aims to educate young generations, parents and the elderly on "cyber safety, cyber safety tools and cyber hygiene".
"An unprecedented tool for enabling socio-economic progress, the internet opens up a world of opportunity for communities across the world", said Ooredoo, noting its commitment to making the internet a safer spacer as it remains an essential part of people's daily lives.
