Crossroads Maldives emerged victorious with a score of 1-0 against Ozen Life Maadhoo, securing the South Kaafu Championship title in this year's Tekkers Resort Futsal Cup.
Crossroads took an early lead in the match with a goal by Shifaz Adil during the first half. Their lead widened when Ismail Waheed found the back of the net in the second half. Despite a goal from Ozen, Ismail Waheed scored again for Crossroads, securing their lead at 3-1.
Ismail Waheed was named the best player of the match in addition to best player award for the zone.
The top 5 players in the zone was awarded to Crossroads' Shifaz Adil, Mohamed Rasheed, and Hassan Lauhu, alongside Ozen Life's Hussain Shiham and Mohamed Azzam. Additionally, Aiman Ilyas from Hardrock Maldives secured the title of the highest goal scorer with a total of 5 goals.
With this win, Crossroads Maldives has won a spot at the semi-finals of the Tekkers Futsal Cup. They will next be facing off against the winners of the Dhaalu atoll championship held in May, Saint Regis Vommuli Resort.
The upcoming tournament, Tekkers Resort Futsal Cup 2023 North Kaafu, is scheduled to take place at Kurumba Maldives resort.
The champions of the North Kaafu zone will advance to the semi-finals and compete against the winners of the Noonu Atoll zone, Velaa Private Islands resort.
