Crossroads Maldives announced it will be hosting a Street Market every Friday to promote local small-to-medium enterprises.
The first integrated tourism island in the Maldives reported that the Street Market will commence from Eid-al-Fitr, which follows immediately after Ramadan. The market will be hosted at the Marina at Crossroads between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Fridays.
Crossroads Maldives revealed that the stalls will be free of charge in an effort to reduce the expenses of SMEs and startups.
The Street Market will emulate the concept of the ‘Thai Night Market’. The resort also added that the market aims to create a fun-filled environment for visitors to experience and buy a wide range of products from local businesses. Crossroads further said that through the market, it aims to build up the local SME scene.
An official from the resort said that the market will be a great opportunity for startups, sole proprietors, and creatives to showcase their talent and products.
Participation in the Street Market is now open to all local registered vendors and is open to businesses ranging from food and beverage businesses to arts and crafts ventures. For more information and registration, please contact 7307042.
