Streets being decorated for Eid

Male' City Council has begun efforts to decorate the streets with festive arches and lights for the upcoming Al'ha Eid.

Male' City Council said that work to decorate the streets had begun yesterday. Council staff and STELCO staff are collaborating in these efforts.

The streets of Male', Hulhumale' and Vilimale' were similarly decorated for the last Fitr Eid celebrations earlier this year as well.

Additionally, various islands across the atolls were also decorated for Fitr Eid. The government has said that administrative capital of the atolls, as well as other islands, will be similarly decorated this Eid as well with help from the respective councils.

Eid celebrations at national level are to be held in Gaafu Alif atoll Villin'gili, Dhaalu atoll Kuda Huvadhoo and Raa atoll Ungoofaaru.
