Newly sworn in Member of Parliament for North Galolhu constituency Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudu) has donated the remaining MVR 19,888.61 from his parliamentary election campaign to local non profit organisation Tiny Hearts of Maldives.

The funds for MP Ibrahim's campaign for the April 2024 elections was entirely sourced through crowd funding, and he pledged to audit his campaign expenses and donate any remaining funds to Tiny Hearts at the time.

In an X (formerly Twitter) post he published today, MP Kudu announced that "as promised, our campaign funds have been audited by Crowe Maldives and the balance has now been donated to @TinyHeartsMV."

MP Ibrahim secured his seat in the parliament after defeating Eva Abdulla, who held the seat for three terms, and his biggest pledge was towards a transparent effort in the parliament which produces results.

"[I] will not hide from people. I will also open an office to for people to [see the] transparency of work I do in the constituency. [I] will stay where people can see and talk to me," he told Mihaaru during an interview he gave during the campaign.

Tiny Hearts of Maldives is a local organisation that provides families with information, support and the knowledge needed to seek timely professional assistance when faced with the immense responsibility of caring for children with heart disease.
