Club HDC is set to face Iran’s Chadormalu in their second match this evening.
Maldives' Club HDC won against Nepal's Gandaki in a 3-2 set victory during their opening match of the Cava Club Championship held yesterday in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Gandaki dominated the first two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-23. However, Club HDC, led by coach Hussain Shareef (Nala Hussain), won the next three sets 25-23, 30-28, and 15-13.
The Cava Club Championship features five teams from four countries, including Club HDC (Maldives), Calicut Heroes (India), Chadormalu (Iran), and two Nepalese teams, Gandaki and Help Nepal Sports Club.
In the tournament's opening match, Help Nepal Sports Club won against Calicut Heroes with a 3-2 victory.
