President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said that a dollar ATM will be installed in Alifu Alifu atoll Thoddoo next year.
Speaking during his visit to Thoddoo as part of his tour of Alifu Alifu and Kaafu atolls, President Muizzu emphasized the growing importance of local tourism on the island and the subsequent need for accessible dollar exchange services.
"There is significant forex trading in Thoddoo. As part of our policy to provide services equitably, we aim to enable residents to manage their foreign currency needs without leaving the island. God willing, a dollar ATM will be installed here within the next year," President Muizzu said.
The first dollar ATM outside Male' in Kaafu atoll was established Maafushi in June last year.
