Thirty year old man injured in the accident that occurred in Fuvahmulah City last Saturday night has died.
A media official from IGMH confirmed that the man died at 08:15 hrs this morning while he was on ventilator support in the intensive care unit.
After initially receiving treatment from the Fuvahmulah Hospital, he was transferred to IGMH in Male' City the same night.
The accident occurred on Bodufannu Magu in Fuvahmulah City. A police media official said at the time that the accident was reported at 22:15 hrs on Saturday.
Investigations so far indicate the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle and crashed into a wall.
