Maaha Naseer, the winner of last year's Master Chef competition, recently served as a judge at the semi-final round of the 2023 Global Chefs Challenge.
Maaha was part of a distinguished panel of culinary judges for the semi-finals, which took place from February 19 to 22 in Rimini, Italy.
This year's Global Chefs Challenge attracted 40 international teams that competed in various categories.
The semi-finalists will go on to compete in four different categories at the 2024 Global Chefs Challenge in Singapore. These categories include the Global Chefs Challenge, the Global Pastry Chefs Challenge, the Vegan Chefs Challenge, and the Global Young Chefs Challenge.
Maaha is the only Maldivian chef to hold the Master Chef title awarded by the Master Chef Society of the World. She obtained a Culinary Arts and Cuisine degree from Singapore's Creative Culinary and currently serves as the Secretary General of the Chefs Guild of the Maldives.
Additionally, she is a World Chefs Association-approved Pastry Rookie Judge.
As a notable culinary figure in the Maldives, Maaha's participation as a judge in the Global Chefs Challenge semi-finals further highlights her expertise and the international recognition she has garnered in the culinary world.
