The opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has decided to provide legal assistance to individuals who are dismissed from their jobs in state owned companies.
MDP stated that it has received information from various sources indicating that many employees of state-owned companies are being threatened and being dismissed.
In case of any such incident, the party has requested individuals to share the information via email at [email protected].
"This party will provide legal assistance to those who are dismissed," MDP said.
Some senior party leaders earlier alleged that individuals employed in state-run companies were being dismissed.
However, some individuals in the government have denied these allegations.
