Former Police Commissioner Hussain Waheed summoned to the Presidential Commission on Deaths and Disappearances over the disappearance of journalist Rilwan Ahmed in 2018.
Rilwan, who had been working for Minivan news, was kidnapped on August 8, 2014. Former Commissioner was summoned to the Presidential Commission on Tuesday, when Former President Abdulla Yameen was also summoned.
Member of the Commission Misbaah Abbas said they will not disclose people that are summoned regarding cases they investigate,
Hussain Waheed had previously said to Mihaaru news that police must investigate the case of Rilwan's disappearance. He said this case was not something they "took lightly" and the draft report published by the Commission reflects the work done by the police then.
