State lawyer Ahmed Nashid, on Tuesday, said in Supreme Court that the discovery of former Vice President Ahmed Adheeb's DNA on the pistol found in former Defence Minister Mohamed Nazim's residence would impact his 11-year jail sentence.
Nazim was sentenced for 11 years by the Criminal Court on March 26, 2015, over illegal weapon possession. A pistol along with three bullets was found in his residence.
