Aspiring footballer who began his sports career last year as a senior for Club Valencia, Mohamed Ilan Imran has signed for Maziya S&RC.
Prior to this transfer, Ilan had also joined training sessions of the Maziya senior team amid the preceding season. After Valencia was disabled from scouting new talent by Football Association of Maldives (FAM), the club had promoted junior athletes to senior positions during their performance last season, including Ilan, who was a youth footballer at the time.
Ilan was also engaged in practice session with the Maldivian National Team last season as well.
Meanwhile, Maziya also signed some young talents from their academy into the club in addition to Ahmed Aiham, who was earlier pledged to Super United Sports. The club is currently gearing up to battle in the upcoming AFC Challenge League Group Stages and also appointed Serbian national, Dragan Djukanovic, who performed as a coach for the Bangladesh and Indonesian Premier Leagues to lead the team as head coach.
