Health Ministry investigates information leak of patient at Hulhumale' Hospital

Health Ministry is currently investigating a case involving the leak of personal information of a foreigner who was treated at Hulhumale' Hospital.

It is reported that an X-ray and a post-operative photo of the individual were leaked by a nurse working at the hospital.

When asked by a journalist on the ministry's media group, a Health Ministry official said that investigation is underway.

However it was not disclosed whether any action has been taken against the individual responsible.

Hulhumale' Hospital has said that it will take appropriate action if such an incident occurred.

Leaking patients' personal information is prohibited.
