The Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2Climate Art Contest is an outreach program that motivates people to protect the ozone layer and acts as a platform for highlighting the connection between ozone layer thinning and climate change, and it encourages participation from the general public in efforts to safeguard both.

The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology has announced that the public can now cast their votes for the national winners for the contest.

The Ministry is encouraging everyone to vote for the submissions made from the Maldives along with their favorite submissions for the ongoing Asia Pacific Regional Ozone2Climate Art Contest. The deadline for the voting is 31st August 2022.

All participants will get a participation certificate from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the organizing partner. The National Ozone Unit (NOU) of each nation will award the prize to the national level winner. A UNEP trophy or plaque will be given to the contest winners at the regional level.

The entries from the Maldives are 1 Adult Graphic Design (Ozone on the Brink of Collapse), 1 Adult Drawing (Cracks in the Sky), 1 Youth Graphic Design (Just Like That) plus 1 Youth Drawing (Out of Time).
