The Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Monday concluded its inquiry regarding accusations levied against the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, stating that he was found not guilty.
The commission suspended Abdulla Fayaz in early October over allegations of exerting undue influence using his position's authority, and refusing to hire staff for the ministry.
However, upon CSC's investigative committee concluding that Fayaz had not violated any laws and regulations, his suspension was lifted as well.
Notably, the Transport Ministry was among the government institutions to face the most criticism from the public during the early days of the current administration and previously as well.
Minister Aishath Nahula had asserted, during a parliamentary committee meeting, that the ministry was taking great action to solve the issues.
