The Civil Court, on Thursday, ruled that there was no evidence to conclude that former Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Musab Abdulla was fired from his post unlawfully.

Musab was terminated from his position as permanent secretary after a long period of suspension over a list of issues under investigation by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Musab filed a case at the Civil Court, requesting to be reinstated at the Islamic Ministry and to receive the salary and allowances denied for the duration of his suspension.

The court ruled that the Civil Service Commission has the power to suspend individuals that are under investigation, and stated that Mus'ab was sacked after the probe proved that he had violated the Civil Service Act.

Referring to the aforementioned points, the court concluded that the Civil Service Commission had done its due diligence and delivered procedural justice in the matter.

Due to this, the court announced that there was no way of ordering CSC to reinstate Musab's position and grant him his salary and allowances denied for the duration of suspension.
