Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Wednesday suspended the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Musab Musthafa.
According to CSC's General Secretary Ibrahim Zuhury, Musab was suspended for one month due to an ongoing investigation. However, he did not disclose any details.
Musab was appointed as PS to Islamic Ministry on July 25, 2017, during former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's government.
Prior to his appointment, he filled the role of First Secretary for the Maldivian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Permanent Secretaries are the highest ranking officials from CSC in any institution.
