The President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady, Sajidha Mohamed has embarked on their journey to Saudi Arabia for Umrah on Friday, accompanied by a delegation of senior state representatives.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and his wife, the first lady Sajidha Mohamed has departed to Saudi Arabia on Friday in order to perform Umrah.
The President's Office stated today that this is trip is undertaken within the gracious hospitality extended by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
A number of senior representatives of the State are also accompanying the President on his trip.
This delegation consists of Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Head Imaam of the Islamic Centre Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, Chief of Staff at the President's Office Abdulla Fayaz, Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs Ali Arif, and Minister at the President’s Office Abdulla Nasir.
The President's Office declared that the President's delegation is traveling to Saudi Arabia on a dedicated aircraft arranged by the Saudi government.
