Nepal wins over Sri Lanka, leading the SAFF Championship with six points.

With last night's loss, Sri Lanka's chances of ascending to the final match has dwindled; so far they have lost both the games they played. Nepal, with two wins under their belt, is leading the championship with two points.

The match played earlier on Monday between India and Bangladesh had ended in a draw. As Bangladesh had won their previous match, they are in second place with four points.

Nepal's had won the game against Sri Lanka by 1-3, while the match between Bangladesh and India had ended with one goal each.

Currently Nepal has six points while Bangladesh has four. India has one point while Maldives and Sri Lanka has zero.

Maldives and India have played one game each so far, while the other four nations have played two games each.

The next set of matches will be held on Thursday, wit Sri Lanka and India playing at 4 pm Maldives time, while Bangladesh is set to play against Maldives at 9 pm.
