MQA to submit reports of fake certificates to Police

Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) has decided to report to police allegations of two higher education institutes in Maldives having issued fake certificates.

In a statement released by MQA, they stated that they had discovered fake certificates from two higher education institutes amongst documents submitted by two individuals seeking their services.

They said that following discussions had confirmed to them that the certificates are not valid documents.

One of these is in the teaching field, leading MQA to warn employers to stay vigilant when offering jobs.

MQA said that the matter is being reported to Police seeking further investigation and action.
