Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) recorded MVR 1.15 billion as total revenue for the month of November.
According to MIRA's monthly statistical release, revenue for November saw an increase of 33.5 percent compared to the forecast, while recording a 17.7 percent increase compared to November 2018.
"The increment in November 2019's revenue, compared to November 2018 and projection, is due to the increment in Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST), Airport Service Charge and Green Tax collection, along with the receipt of payments towards Lease Period Extension Fee.", said MIRA.
The majority of the revenue was generated via the Goods and Services Tax, constituting to 56.6 percent (MVR 651.68 million) of the total revenue.
