Cake Donors has organized a major event to be held in Malé City in aid of Palestinians in dire need of humanitarian aid.
Founder of Cake Donors Aishath Sherin, said that the organization would be setting up stalls in four areas of Malé and three locations in Hulhumalé tomorrow. They will be serving breakfast, lunch, and cakes and pastries for evening tea.
In addition to this, face painting for children and henna art will also be conducted at these stalls.
A total of about 100 volunteers will be participating in these efforts.
Sherin said that all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Gaza Fund opened by the International Aid Campaign (IAC).
"We would like to call upon the people to purchase your breakfast and lunch at these stalls tomorrow," Sherin appealed to the public.
Cake Donors is a community that has been actively contributing to social causes such as this since 2016. The organization has also previously raised funds for multiple individuals in need of financial assistance due to accidents or health-related issues.
