Bank of Maldives (BML), on Tuesday, launched the 'Aharenge Bank' Community Fund, a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to contribute to society by conducting sustainable community projects.

The 'Aharenge Bank' Community Fund invites individuals to submit proposals for projects that improve community spirit, promote sustainability and provide social opportunities.

BML will select and allocate MVR 50,000 to five projects in the areas of education, environment, sports and community development during each quarter of the fiscal year.

'Aharenge Bank' Community Fund highlights BML's commitment to the communities and people of Maldives.

BML’s Deputy CEO and Director of Operations Mohamed Shareef revealed that the bank had doubled its investment to communities across Maldives during the past two years.

"The launch of this fund is another step towards investing in projects that create a lasting difference to the society", stated Shareef.

The Maldives main bank currently boasts a nationwide network of 36 branches, 38 self-service banking centres and 100 ATMs across 20 atolls as well as digital banking services.
