Maldives seeks contractor to develop three residential buildings in Hulhumale

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is seeking contractors to develop fourteen-storey mixed residential buildings in three land plots of reclaimed suburb Hulhumale under the ongoing “Hiyaavehi” project.

In an announcement released last week, HDC stated that the corporation will arrange to cover the expenses of the project.

Hiyaavehi project is to be carried out in the land plots C2-1, C2-2 and C2-3 in Hulhumale’s first phase of development. The plots measure 25,467 square feet, 27,534 square feet and 27,285 square feet respectively. The highest approved height for the buildings in these plots is 14 storeys or 45 metres.

HDC said that the buildings are to be designed by the contractors according to the British standard.

Interested parties are to submit their bids before 2:00 p.m. on October 16.

HDC is yet to disclose details regarding the Hiyaavehi project.

Meanwhile, Amin Construction Pvt Ltd is currently constructing three 14 storey towers in Hulhumale’s first phase while preparations are ongoing for the development of 7,000 housing units in Hulhumale’s second phase.
