The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has pledged to seek financial aid on his official trip to Dubai in order to complete government projects.
Maldives will try to improve diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates on his official visit to the Middle East.
Furthermore, Shahid said that he would work to gain funding from U.A.E as well for the projects planned by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
Shahid has suggested that he would discuss to ease the conditions for Maldivians to travel to U.A.E.
After being appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs on November 17, Shahid’s first official trip was to the neighbouring country India.
The dialogue with the top officials of the Indian government was held to gain funding for the government projects included in the State Budget.
